WURKKOS TS15 Flashlight Review

SFT25R Cool White
14500 LiIon Battery

Last Update 24-08-2025

This review is about the WURKKOS TS15 Pocket Thrower Flashlight.

The Package is ready to use and comes with the following:

  • Wurkkos TS15 Mini Flashlight
  • 14500 Branded  LiIon Battery, 900mah Button Top
  • usb cable C/C standard
  • a lanyard
  • 2x spare orings
  • manual and papers
  • battery paper insulation

The light uses a single SFT-25R 6000-6500K  cool white LED, the declared Max Output on the package (on Level V-turbo) is 900lumens , the turbo only lasts about 2 minutes, then the stepdown reduces the Brightness (and it goes to 350lm, declared).

The head is large so it immediately tells us it will have a small spot and a large ring, in fact the small LED is pretty throvy being coupled to a metal smooth reflector and A/R coated glass lens.

The battery is a standard 14500 LiIon with a button top branded with the Wurkkos logo, a white wrapping and declared 900mah capacity.

My measured capacity on the USB meter was 855mah, so I assume that on a few charges and a dedicated charger it could deliver something very near to the declared capacity.

The battery can be charged both on the onboard USB-C 1A port or on an external charger, being sold as a complete kit I only used the onboard charging in the review.

The onboard port charged at 0.8A the highest on my usb meter, the test showed a 1:15hrs charging time on a 30W Anker GaN charger.

Most charges I’ve done until now took about 1hr from a red indicator to a green one, fair for an EDC light you can take with you travelling.

To operate the TS15 you have a rubber e-switch, depending on the number of clicks, you can select the operating mode:

From OFF:

  • one click: turns the light ON
  • one HOLD: LOW-MED-HIGH cycle (mode memory)
  • four clicks: LOCKOUT
  • four clicks if LOCKED: UNLOCK
  • if off and unlocked, TWO CLICKS: TURBO (mode V)
  • if off and unlocked: hold goes to MOONLIGHT

From ON:

  • one click: turns the light OFF
  • one HOLD: LOW-MED-HIGH cycle
  • cycles start with the last used mode (mode memory)

in ANY STATE:

  • (unlocked) two clicks: TURBO (mode V)
  • three clicks: Strobe-SOS-Beacon (2 clicks to change)

the LED light can be RED (blinking or fixed) or Green

Red means the battery is depleting, red blinking means the battery is less than 25% and Green means it’s either full or charged.

The WURKKOS TS15 has 5 modes (declared values) on LiIon:
MOONLIGHT 1lm 80hrs
LOW 10lm 32hrs
MID 100lm 4hrs
HIGH 350lm 1.2hrs
TURBO 900lm 2+0,97hrs at 350lm

on AA batteries it’s as follows:
MOONLIGHT 0,3lm 100h
LOW 5lm 40hrs
MID 30lm 8rs
HIGH 90lm 1.6hrs
TURBO 330lm 0,7hrs

Added modes are STROBE, SOS and a one flash beacon at 900lm every 3 seconds.

There is ATR Advanced Thermal regulation, that kicks in at 40-60°C and reduces the output to cool the light.

And lastly and very important, the light features LVP, Low voltage Protection, which turns the light off when the battery level is too low to operate safely.

Here is the BOX:

And the complete kit it comes with:

Here is the WURKKOS TS15 Pocket Thrower:

front and switch:

Back and tailcap:

rubber e-switch

the head has some cooling fins

The center body part is detachable and has an o-ring on both ends to keep water and dust out, it has some light rings for enhancing grip:

The flat tailcap has both a strong magnet and a lanyard hole, being flat, the light can stay upright in candle mode, reflecting light on the ceiling and giving a more broad illumination:

The large head hosts a large metal smooth reflector and a glass lens with A/R coating:

The coating can be seen clearly when the light is ON and looked at from the side.

The LED is an SFT25R at 6000-6500K.

The tint is good up to the high level, on turbo it’s pretty purple.

As above, the flat tailcap allows for tail standing in candle mode:

The magnet is pretty strong for the small size, the light easily attaches to anything made of metal:

The threads are square cut and very clean, the top of the tube is polished for contacts and the tailcap spring is gold plated.

The positive contact on the head is solid instead.

The tailcap is well refined and smooth, beware when attaching it to metal surfaces, in order not to scratch the finish:

There is also a lanyard hole, and a lanyard is included in the package:

Just no to do it wrong: the body has a small battery sign, to remember which way the battery goes in :)

The standard 900mah 14500 WURKKOS eqips its small lights with:

I’ve measured approx 850mah on a USB-C tester, the declared capacity is pretty accurate and the weight of 19gr. is +-1gr similar to my other batteries.

On the opposite side of the switch there is a rubber boot to protect the USB-C port, the port is not potted.

Even not being potted, it survived my 24hrs freeze test well, I only found some humidity around the boot, mostly from condensation probably, no water entered the light.

To enhance the boot, there’s a small ridge around it to fit it’s slot better.

When travelling, remember to test if the SUB-C cables you carry, fit into the charging port, as the port is very narrow and my XIAOMI charging cable was too wide.

Luckily you get a short cable in the box to take with you.

I did charge the battery with the onboard charging slot only, as if I was out of town, travelling or caught with a low battery.

I got a 850mah capacity on a 0,8A current throughout most of the charge, as seen in the next pictures:

A couple beamshots:

And last, my usual 24hrs freeze test of the Wurkkos TS15:

I got it in a container, turned on LOW mode, declared at 32hrs and submerged it with water.

After about 24-27hrs I took it out and let it defreeze, once possible I took the ice block out and let it melt.

The TS15 came out still on and with no water inside.

I got some humidity under the boot, probably from condensation and difference between rubber and aluminium, no water was inside and the little light works fine.

Last Words and Conclusions:

I got the flashlight sent by WURKKOS to review, I was not paid for the review, what you read is my honest and personal opinion.

What I like:

  • very compact and lightweight
  • USB-C charging built-in
  • Long battery life
  • long throw
  • good output without exaggeration
  • doesn’t get too “hot”
  • good interface
  • LED tint is not too bluish besides on TURBO

What I DON’T like:

  • nothing in particular

Other considerations:

  • stepless dimming would be nice, instead of 5 preset modes
  • Cool White LED is not for everyone, it has low CRI
  • rubber boot might detatch and get lost
