This review is about the ACEBEAM KeyLite 500 Flashlight
The Package is ready to use and comes with the following:

The light uses a single 2x cool white 6000-6500K LEDs, under a dual TIR (Total Internal Reflection) optic made of plastic. The beam is rectangular from low distance and becomes a mix between spot and flood with more distance.
The declared Max Output on the package (on Level V-turbo) is 500lumens , the turbo only lasts about 20 secondss, then the stepdown reduces the Brightness (and it goes to 260lm, declared, going even lower over time).
The usable output is level 3-high with 200/150lm that runs for about 20 minutes with a decreasing output over that span of time.
It has a mode memory so it turns on on the last used mode (hi-med-low only) and a 1lm moonlight mode.
The 1lm moonlight mode only works with the flashlight unlocked, if you lock it, only the power led will blink.
One thing that makes me wonder is why the mode order is High-mid-low and no the usual low-mid-high, given a light like this could be useful eg. in a dark cinema room.
Other modes are strobe (3 clicks from unlocked) and a lockout function (hold 3 sec from off)
To unlock it you double-click che power switch.
These clicks are slightly different than those most manufacturers use, usually 3-4 clicks lock and unlock most lights.
Regarding charging I tested a 0,15A average current via USB-A/C with the included cable.
The total capacity on mine, resulted in an average 164mah, charged at 0,15/0,16mah and took about 1hr to complete.
MODE RECAP:
From OFF:
- one click: turns the light ON
- one HOLD: moonlight-lockout
- if off and unlocked, TWO CLICKS: TURBO (mode V)
- if off and unlocked, THREE CLICKS: STROBE 500lm
From ON:
- one click: turns the light OFF
- one HOLD: HIGH-MED-LOW cycle (mode memory)
- cycles start with the last used mode (mode memory)
- three clicks: strobe 500
- two clicks: turbo
From LOCKOUT:
- two clicks: unlock, turns on last memory mode
- nothing else
the LED light can be RED (blinking or fixed) or Green
Red means the battery is depleting, red blinking means the battery is less than 25% and Green means it’s either full or charged.
There are 5 modes (declared values):
MOONLIGHT 1lm 12hrs
LOW 10lm 4hrs
MID 200-150-20lm / 25+80mins
HIGH 200-150-20lm / 3-15-42mins
TURBO 500-260-50lm 20sec-5-35mins
There is ATR Advanced Thermal regulation, that kicks to reduce the output to cool the light.
Very important, the light features LVP, Low voltage Protection, which turns the light off when the battery level is too low to operate safely.
Lastly the light is declared IP66 for dust and water jets, I did not perform any waterproof tests as there is no rubber protection under the usb cover, could be the usb port is slightly potted but I could not see anything to prove this.

The USB-C cover is made of the same aluminium and has a small steel ball bearing making it “click” open and close:
The other side has the power button and RG LED, along with the only torx screw to take the light apart:
The power switch is RG (Red Green) only, and shows the power status and charging status, in this case green, so, fully charged:
The KeyLite 500 uses 2x CW LEDs at 6000-6500k that sit under a unique dual TIR optic made of plastic.
A part is frosted, while the center is clear, the output beam is a mix between flood and spot, slightly rectangular at very near distance, rounder at longer distances.
It’s a nice try in such a small case, I would have probably opted for something different, but, non the less, it’s an ok outcome for occasional EDC use.
The only design flaw I have found is this weird gap on the body:

I got the flashlight sent by ACEBEAM to review, I was not paid for the review, what you read is my honest and personal opinion.
What I like:
- very compact and lightweight
- USB-C charging built-in
- good battery life for the size and capacity
- good beam, rectangular at some distances but a good compromise between throw and flood
- good output without exaggeration
- doesn’t get too “hot”
What I DON’T like:
- gap in the assembly or design
- cool white LEDs
- weird high-mid-low settting
Other considerations:
- at about 16$ is a great light, nothing to say, it can bea a keychain, a backup, even a real EDC light for family members, easy enough for everyone to operate.
